  • Co-instructor of the Application Seminar on Web Handling with Bruce Feiertag (sponsored by the OSU WHRC) from 1992-1995.
  • Presented of winding, slitting, and laminating sections in the CEMA's Slitting and Rewinding and Coating and Laminating short courses (2004 to present).
  • Delivered custom courses on-site to over 30 companies, training engineers, operators, and maintenance teams.
  • Presented via the internet in webinars sponsored by Paper, Film, and Foil Converter magazine (2004).

Web Handling Training Options

1.  On-Site Training

The most popular options are my 1-3 day classes customized to your needs and held at your location. These classes are a real value. For the cost of sending 2-3 people to an off-site class, you can have an on-site training with an unlimited number of participants, tailored in content and discussion to your product and processes. Also popular is to add a half or full day of consulting to these classes, often leading to manufacturing savings that essentially pay for the classes.

2.  Webinars

I can present PowerPoint presentations LIVE via the internet to up to nine remote computers (with audio via teleconferencing). My internet classes are delivered using the Webex MeetMeNow software (meetmenow.webex.com) and do not require any downloads to your computer. All you need is Microsoft Internet Explorer and a telephone.

3.  WebHandling.com

This website is my 'book' on web handling process technology. You can see the initial framework of my 'book', but it will continue to grow...stay tuned.

4.  TopWeb Software and Training

The TopWeb software is another excellent training tool. Develop your web handling intuition by running 'what if' analysis on wrinkling, slippage, roll stresses, and other calculations. For the ultimate web handling training, purchase the TopWeb software and schedule a combined class of web handling fundamentals and TopWeb training.
