IWEB – The International Conference on Web Handling
IWEB provides an international forum on all things web handling for engineers and scientists from industry and academia interested in learning, exchanging technical information on new developments, innovations, and future directions.
Formerly coordinated by the Web Handling Research Center (WHRC) at Oklahoma State University. The WHRC closed in January 2020.
Many web handling colleagues that hosted and attended IWEB since 1991 are working to continue this important conference.
Even though the WHRC is closed, many of the valuable technical papers are available through the OSU library’s website (Click on the Proceedings Button).
FP Innovations (Canadian Forest Products) provides complete inspection and analysis of web uniformity and roll structure. The FPI Roll Testing Facility (RTF) can identify the causes of web-related issues on the printing press and converting line in an effort to avoid repeating the issue and help address complaints and costly claims from end-users. The RTF combines several roll and web measurements to differentiate between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ rolls.
